Racing Information
Everything you need to know about racing at Middle Nene SC
General Information
All events will be scored under the ISAF Appendix A low point scoring system.
Allcomers racing for Club Events will be handicapped under the RYA Portsmouth Yardstick scheme numbers for the current year, with the following exceptions:
- Boats with a Yardstick of more than 1230 will be classed as Slow Handicap
- Boats with a Yardstick of 1230 or less will be classed as Fast Handicap
All races require start/finish OR elapsed times for all boats. Slow handicap boats will do one less lap than posted.
Certificates and Third Party Insurance are to be valid.
Race duration should be approximately:
- 30-45 mins for back to back races
- 60 mins for all other Allcomers races
Approximately 15 minutes should be allowed between the last boat's finish and the start of the next race.

- Part 2, Section C - 'At Marks and Obstructions' changes to rule 18

Sunday racing comprises three Allcomers Races (two in Nov/Dec) with series for Fast/Slow/Youth fleets.
